Shine Academy is a low-cost co-op, with a fee of $25 per semester for each family. We do offer some classes with a supply fee. These classes are optional and, in most cases, range between $10-$35. We are committed to ensuring that finances are not a barrier to connection, and we offer scholarship programs to support this goal.

Shine Academy was started and is hosted by the members of Beulah Baptist Church. However, Shine was created and continues to operate as a nonreligious co-op. We have families with many different beliefs, but we all co-exsist to make Shine a truly unique and welcoming community for everyone.

Shine Academy's main goal is to provide a co-op that is accessible to all. For that reason, we do not enforce a volunteer policy. We have many volunteer opportunities within our co-op for anyone who is interested in working with us. We do rely on volunteers to be able to continue offering classes.

Shine Academy does not have an attendance policy.

Shine Academy has an amazing staff of instructors, that volunteer their time to teach our students.  All Shine staff have been background checked and trained on working with children.

Shine Academy currently has three locations. Colonial Heights, Bristol, and Elizabethton. Specific meeting locations are confidential for the safety of our children, parents, and staff.
